It’s been a long, hot opening week for the 2018 Tour de France. There’s been crashes and calamity, drawn out days across plains, blistering sprints and a dramatic day on the cobbles.
But the Tour is much more than just the racing. Everywhere you turn there is humanity, landscape and local flavour. It is this aspect as much as the action that photographer Chris Auld has set out to capture as he follows this year’s race.
